gents, guru's of the AI world.....

how do you get or setup the flightplans, to get 2 a/c flying in formation etc?

it was done in the coningsby ai and i have seen the screenies of the queens birthday flypast, but how do you do it?

sounds like a tv programme i know...lol

Neil, it is a bit involved and I don't want to get into it here, but the basics of it are to create two seperate afcad files, basically on top of one another, then flightplan two or more aircraft to depart from those co-located afcads and fly somewhere. That's the easy part. The hard part is timing the two independent flightplans so that the aircraft take off at the same time. :wink:

A good start to wrap you head around this concept are these two packages by Mike MacIntyre. Both use the method mentioned above to achieve formation flybys.

I've made it sound relatively simple, but I assure you it is not as easy as it sounds.
