NE ANG?

Post by Jumpshot724 »

I noticed that we have ANG units in the SE, West, and I forget where else. Any plans in the works for the NE?

Again, I only know how to do AFCADs so if anyone wants to team up I'm all for it :D

Jumpshot724,

I released "The 2006 Maine Military AI Aircraft and Airbases " package (neumai1.zip at Avsim) as the first installment of my NorthEastern USA Military AI (NEUMAI) series back in the summer of 2006. I have a complete upgrade to that package including custom scenery by John Stinstrom about 90% complete along with packages for NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, NJ, NY and PA in various states of completion. Below is a link to the description of "The 2006 Maine Military AI Aircraft and Airbases " at Avsim:

http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Sea ... e=0&Page=3

Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you want to look at it, I have been almost completely tied up with supporting the MAIW AI model designers with the creation of AI FDE's, Drive Through Parking AFCADs, Formation Flight AFCAD's, Formation FP's, etc. for the past year and a half and this has brought my work on my NEUMAI series almost to a standstill. :(

My hope has always been to get back to work on my NEUMAI series at some point, but that has proven to be virtually impossible so far, so it is probably time that I rethink this situation relative to my NEUMAI series and how to proceed with it. :?:

I have only posted this to inform you that there is a series of AI packages for New England along with NY, NJ and PA in the works, but unfortunately moving forward quite slowly at the moment. :(

MACC and I from UKMIL are planning a project that will at the very least include the 177th and 174th FWs, probably some other NJ/NY units as well.

AWESOME. Yea I mean I would love to see the entire NE but I was really looking for at least the 174FW, 158FW, 109AW, and 107ARW :D

If you need any info I'm 4 minutes from the 174FW and I have visited the 158FW, 109AW and 107ARW all within the past 3 years. Even got to fly on a C-130H with the 109AW and a KC-135R (?) with the 107ARW. I think I'll post the pictures in the misc forum right now actually

I have been working on a NY/NJ ANG project with Zaku (above). Currently, most of the flightplans are written with many of the AFCADs. The 177th fleet is painted, and waiting on others...first to come out of the box will be the 17th FW. I guees we better hurry before they trade in the -16s for Predator/Reapers!

MACC has told me it would be better to use the HTAI F-16, so I've been working with that instead. I'm just working on weathering for them right now, after that's done I can get the schemes done quickly.

Aldo, pgd, I identified what was making them blurry before, so I'll correct that this time.

I believe I had the first version that came out years ago, but only because I spent some time there in my naval career. I somehow must of missed this update. Outstanding on what hardly looks like a 90% complete package. The KBGR scenery matched right up to the AI parking. Stayed up late checking out the MEANG Hawks, RAID 58's and HSL-46. Can't wait to fly again with the VT Vipers or join up on a KC135.

I just found yet another FS9.cfg file, pretty smooth and for me the M. Stone P-3's were not bad on FPS, as noted in the read me, mainly only the HC H-60's. I have some AI B212's, which could replicate the Station SAR HH-1N's with only a simple repaint. Thanks to this package, I think I have AI Helos/helo pads about figured out, now I can rework some of my projects, namely NAS Jacksonville and NS Mayport.

Victory103,

My "The 2006 Maine Military AI Aircraft and Airbases" package was the NEUMAI replacement for the old original NEMAI version that you had. The 90% complete upgrade that I mentioned above is for the NAS Brunswick portion of "The 2006 Maine Military AI Aircraft and Airbases" package that you just installed. It will use the new MAIW/JAI P-3C with textures by Graham King, custom NAS Brunswick scenery by John Stinstrom and an updated custom drive through parking AFCAD that I did.

Now if I could just find the time to finish it.

I think I read on one of the SYR news websites, the 174th are training up for a final deployment in the F-16's. When they get back, they'll start transitioning to the Reapers...what a shame...no more Vipers out of KSYR!!

I know, so sad. They just got back from Red Flag too if you check Airliners.net theres a bunch of shots of their F-16s in and around Nellis from I think February.

I'll ask my roomate, his mom is a MSgt over at the 174FW

Mike,
Well awesome job on this unfinished project! The helos really caught me off guard with how the "runways" were added to the AFCAD for both BGR/NHZ. I've been waiting for that AI P-3 for some time too.
