The death of the F-16 pilot in a training accident caused me to think about reporting of accidents. I could not recall seeing such reports from other countries. Maybe they are there but just don't make the news in the US.
Am I right? Has anyone seen such reports out of Russia or China for example. Pretty sure the UK has open press on accidents. Just my curiosity running wild again.
Here in the UK, aircraft crashes are well reported by local and national media.
Going back to when the two Russain jets collided at RIAT Fairford, I forget the year? both pilots survived, "joe public" in Russia were never informed of the incident and I believe at the time Russia denied that the two pilots worked for them
The best place, if that is the right phrase under the circumstances, is Flight International. They also have a complete round up of all accidents once a year.

In Germany no matter if military or civil crashes occur: the press knows about it and so the people do. Although it seems the press is better informed than the soldiers sometimes

Air Forces Monthly Magazine (which I think it is safe to say that I'm addicted to now ) has an attrition section in each issue that details all known aircraft accidents or incidents including known serial numbers, fatalities etc and updates any errors made in previous issues

So does "Combat Aircraft" magazine, which IMHO is better
