"Payware" AI aircraft

Post by Cheetah_D »

I have almost completed an AI pack for the SAAF but seemingly have a problem. There are a few aircraft that I bought from AIFD and im not sure if I will be allowed to include these in the traffic pack since they are so called payware, or at least I purchased the aircraft pack from Simmarket. Does this mean that nothing can be distributed? I have tried to contact AIFD but somehow they are not replying to me. Any advice regarding this issue would be highly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure this is correct: You can reference where to obtain the payware model, flight plan for it, even make and include custom paints for it, but you can not give away a copy of the model itself.

It will be up to the user to either buy a copy of the model, or find an alternative.

Hi Cheetah,
There really are only two choices here, well three but DO NOT take that one, you can either wait for a response and keep bugging them or you can modify your pack so that it doesn't include those payware models but point to where you can get hold of them.
You should be able to include paint schemes for the aircraft unless the docs that come with the models forbid it, I would re-check that and see what it says.

I can imagine that its frustrating, but if you don't do it correctly you may be on the receiving end of a whole heap of trouble.

Sorry that i can't be of more help.
