The HC one is actually a nice flyable CH-47 with USA and RAF texures and 2 cockpits. I saw a post months ago about UKMIL AI CH-47's, but havent seen anything come of that. I use the HC Hooker for AI, although it's not an AI design, so a slight hit on FPS.

UkMIL do have an AI CH47, Its not great but it'll do me until a proper AI version is created. You need club access to get it. You can find it @

the UKMIL CH47, is a true multi lod AI model, and employs the true STOL technique, so it does take off within 10 ft, and lands again, very quick, so acts as near as a Helo as FS can get.

The only problem is the poly count is pretty massive and there are no LODs. :?

The Chinook has multi-LOD, is very good looking and very well supported. I reported an error with the front rotor animation which was fixed the next day.

Is this latest Chinook only available from the UKMIL website?

Thanks :)

I hope it is soon, as I've tried to register over there more than once, but have never received the activation email. About to give up permanently.

I love UK Mil as much as the next military AI lover but this is not a support forum for them. Please PM the appropriate persons here if you need assistance. Closed

Well for those of you wanting after an AI Chinook I have a little suprise for you.

Wokka Wokka Wokka!!! The "Rotating Death Banana" Wings its way into MAIW, Custom FDE being worked on in between other projects by Mike MacIntrye. The aircraft model itself lifts up and pitches forwards for take-off. Looks great.

Still not finished as a model itself so dont expect packages any time soon with the workload we have at the moment.

How has this been achieved ?
Wanting to do some Navy AI, basically all Lynx helo's, closest I could get was copying the flight dynamics of a Lysander as for slow t/o and landing, but the movements don't "feel" good....

Gents,

Thank you very much for the offer. The Chinook is still a little way off being finished. Still need to refine the Flight Dynamics and finish the final bits of the model. I have still not decided whether I will be releasing this one to the public, before or after MAIW have produced some packages. I will let you know once my current projects are a little further on.

Thanks again for the offer and I will let you know.
