I have thew IRIS F-14 and IRIS F-15 and what I really like about the -14 is that you can go full A/B with the parking brake on and the a/c barely creeps, however you try the same thing with the F-15 and it's like the brakes aern't even on (same thing with USVIPER that I have). I really want to change that because in my observations that's how I've seen -16s and -15s take off, they go full A/B on the runway, let it sit for a sec, then zoom on down the runway. It's really annoying not being able to do that.
Tips?

Mike M. probably knows but I believe that you can go into the CFG file for that model and adjust the brake scaler setting to make the brakes "stronger".

I thought about that, but I don't wanna make the regular brakes so strong that when I tap them the plane stops in an inch. I just want the parking brake to be a lot stronger.Mike M. probably knows but I believe that you can go into the CFG file for that model and adjust the brake scaler setting to make the brakes "stronger".
I didn't try editing the scalar because I don't like to play around with .configs unless I know what I'm doing....which is why I'm asking on here

Sounds like you may need a combination of factors, a small adjustment in the braking co-efficient you might even try adding a small quantity of weight and even reducing the throttle a bit.
Try checking the weight as quite often FDEs are created for aircraft that carry no weapons and internal fuel and then create models of full weapon loads. For the old DSB FGR2 and Tornados I created a different cfg for each model so that the RAFv would have more realistic handling and ranges. Its quite easy to find out the weight of weapons on the internet, and the fuel load in tanks. I also add weight for pylons as well.
As for making changes, I always zip up a copy of the originals and then rather than replace the original parms I always comment them out.
I hope that this maybe some help.

I would recomend that you make a backup copy of the F-15 config file and since you are satisfied with the F-14's braking, copy and paste the
"[brakes]
toe_brakes_scale=1.000031
parking_brake=1"
section of the F-14's into the F-15's. If you don't like how it works, just delete the new "config" file and return to your original file. That is usually what I do.

Jump, check with you father on this, I do have the NATOPS for the "D" model but would have to dig it out of storage. I do know the B and D F-14 are restricted from AB take offs in case of an engine failure.
I've read up on the procedures for the F-15E, normally on the brakes to run up of 80%, check gauges, then release brakes and Zone 5 burner. You would not be able to hold brakes in burner and not slide.

I don't know about the F-14 procedures, he flew in the A models and maybe the B I'm not sure. I don't know about the F-15 procedures as I don't rememebr but I've seen the F-16s go to full white-hot A/B at a standstill and let it run like that for a few secs before releasing.Jump, check with you father on this, I do have the NATOPS for the "D" model but would have to dig it out of storage.
