How did you do it MACC? I have a Top Gun Afterburner II and sometimes it seems the rudder just takes on a life of its own - like you I calibrated it but it didn't do any good; it's fine at the moment but it will happen again...

The reason I asked if you had a Logitech stick is that they suffer with potentiometer problems on the twist grip which causes the rudder to offset.
I have had three with that problem

Me too, which is why I invested in a Saitek X52.

I use a Saitek X52 also, but I can't stand the "Magic Mouse" feature that comes with it. Makes my normal mouse go crazy and scroll to the left of the screen. Overall it is a lot better than some of the joysticks I have used before.

I had the same problem for a long time. I did get a Logitech, though, and THIS ONE has worked out fine. I have an Extreme 3D Pro if that helps.

I'm on my 3rd logitech joystick... it is an Extreme 3D Pro and it also suffers the same problems my previous two did: it works fine for about 6 months and then twisting right(for rudder control) and turning right are almost non-existent. If I unplug it, and plug it back in, it works fine for a couple of hours but when reverts to poor responsiveness concerning functions involving the "right" motion.

Unfortunatly I am familiar with this problem (but mine must have been 7 years old now).

Ahhhh yes, the good ole Logitech 3D pro....

I'm on my number 5 and 6 (I keep one home and one here at school with me so I don't need to transport it to and from lol).

*The first one lasted for about 6 months, then I took it home (packed it in my checked luggage all padded etc) but when I got home the problem started, by the time I got back to school a month later it was totally useless.
*I figured that it was due to the ramprats throwing my bag around, so ok my fault. Buy a new one, lasts for months, then kapoot.
*Number 3 I'm like wtf is going on here, buy the warranty on it. 6 months and it's trash. With warranty I get a new one.
*Number 4 lasts for 6 months, then get a new one by the warranty
*Number 5 I bought a yr and a half ago and it's still working, though I only use it at home.
*Number 6 has also been working for over a yr, so knock on wood.

I really like the 3D pro, so as long as you get the warranty from Best Buy all you have to deal with is the hassle of having to go exchange it about twice a yr. It's like leasing a car, every so often you get a brand new one of the same model lol :D

I have a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery old thrustmaster FCS mark II, + WCS mark II and the Rudder Control System...

I had to buy gameport-to-usb converters to make it work with my new ( already 5 years old now....)

The system to program the different buttons does not work anymore with those converters...

And I have the same problem with the rudder that looses its calibration sometimes...

But OK I can still fly with it :)
