Prop Plane Pilot Disappears?

Post by aerogator »

Hey guys, did anyone ever find a trigger to make the pilot of a prop or turboprop plane appear or disappear? I know there was a lot of discussion about this at one point but I could not find a resolution in the forum. :?

Thanks, :)

Jake,

I had this problem with my Vinka and myself and Mike MacIntyre came up with this.

<part>
<name>pilot_vinka</name>
<visible_in_range>
<parameter>
<code>
(A:LIGHT BEACON,number)
</code>
</parameter>
<minvalue>1</minvalue>
<maxvalue>1</maxvalue>
</visible_in_range>
</part>

Works for piston props....trouble is the pilot only appears literally as soon as the aircraft starts and then taxys.

well, that's better than having him sitting there bobbing his head all the time :lol:

Thanks Nick, I'll give it a try. :D

"Light NAV on" event does not work on propelled planes,
so we do not have that 15 min preparation period with them.
