Rysiek, when you have a quiet moment I think this variation would be great! http://www.airliners.net/photo/PO-Polyo ... 1264221/L/

There's never a quiet moment in a modellers life. LOL

I tried the new paintkit out on ES-BAH scheme and I must say that both the model and paintkit are among the finest. Thank you for your effort.

There was a minor issue with the prop (material transparency is ignored and the prop was opaque) in FSX and I created a new prop texture to fix it:

Very nice, Paavo!

Oh, I'm glad that port to FSX was so easy 8)

PS. Yes...wing pillars are mapped to just a small rectangle so it is not possible to paint them fully "real"
but you've made it.
One thing I would try would be to make her even more dirty
Have you tried that one, more detailed alternative paintkit?:

That's the paintkit I used. And yup, needs exhaust stains. However, it's rather clean most of the time, because it's operated by a small club and their aircraft are very well kept. I noticed that those small red L-shaped markings are also missing. There are markings like this (but in yellow) on the ANs of the Air Force, too. Do you happen to know what they stand for?

Mmmm, I'm not sure which one markings (please point them on a photo)?
Maybe some kind of labels?

Oh yeah, do you plan to paint them as well, maybe? :smt039

Look at the four yellow ones right of the number:

There are also some weird markings on the left side, again right of the number:

Well, of course. There are two in service with the Air Force, nr. 40 (known as "Blue Monday") and 41. The Estonian Defence League has only one, nr. 42 (ex. ES-BAB).
41 is just plain green and boring, but 40 (pic) has a nice coat of arms painted below the cockpit windows on the left side and 42 (pics) has classy yellow stripes.

GREAT!

Would allow for small but juicy Estonian AF pack 8)

Those yellow things look like technical handles for some covers (electrical wires or something?)
I think Mr INS would known better.

Anyway these are real and need to be painted on.

Just a guess, but on many US aircraft those kind of makings indicate where rescue crews can cut into the fuselage to gain access to the interior quickly. The area would be between ribs, and no solid interior mountings to interfere with access.

Yeh Ron is correct they are a guide to where emergency crews can cut through the fuselage and rescue the passengers and crew. You'll find them on most passenger and freight aircraft as well, like the Fokker 27 and Hercules.

And here they are.

A view from the rear:

I was wrong when I told that I used the new paintkit on ES-BAH. There was a mixup and I ended up using the old one, which I later ported over to the new paintkit. I added the missing detail and reworked gear textures. It should now be good enough for AI.

I'm missing 2 Aero L-39C trainers (ES-YLZ and ES-RAZ) from a complete set of EstAF airplanes. There is a L-39 model available, but no paintkit - it'll take considerable effort to paint these.

FYI:
I spotted yet another bunch of fine RWAI An-2 repaints by Miloslav Wolf here:

Mostly Czech ones but not only, various flying clubs and so on ...

Does anyone know where I can download this?
Searched Flightsim and Avsim but couldn't find an AI L-39???
Plenty of flyables though....
