FS2000 aircraft as AI

Post by Javier Tapia »

Hi guys,

I downloaded a FS2000 aircraft to see if it can be used as AI in FS9.
But i'm having the following problems
-no landing gear
-no propeller
-can't change the parking radius

Is there a solution to this?
i've changed the airfile for a similar AI's one.

Thanks!

Hi Javier,
Its funny but somebody else was just doing something similar. I have a feeling that some FS2K are just too old to show up properly in FS9, some FS2K2 planes have the same problem, or at least come up with a warning.

It may be that its not fixable. What model was it that your were trying to use? It maybe that somebody else had the same problem and found a fix or a different model to use.

Some are fine and some aren't, whether you use them as AI or not. The older the model the more likely you are to have problems.

Lets see what particular model it is that javier is trying to use.

I have used models from FS all the way back to CFS successfully.
The problem is, some of them act this way.
Sometimes I've had to go through 5 models just to find 1 that would work correctly.
Good Luck.

Hi,

I'm using Marcelo Canovas T-35 Pillan (t35fs2k2.zip at flightsim.com)

This is how it looks like, I just discovered that from the cockpit (2D or virtual) you can't see the aircraft.

Anyway, i found an other solution... is not perfect, but will do for now

 I was going to say, I posted some notes a couple of years ago on dealing with this.
Nice to know they still have application in these days of FSX.
