Happy 2nd MAIW!!

Post by 1st Shirt »

You guys are (Insert many stupendous superlatives here)!!!!

Since the outset MAIW has been pushing the edge of the envelope! I think it's safe to say that much of what is now considered to be the baseline of AI ablities is due to what all of the MAIW Staff and contributors have accomplished.

In addition, this community holds the distinction of not having self-destructed due to infantile arguments like so many other sites in the FS world

Well done and Kudos to all!! Happy 2nd MAIW and many more to come.

And did I mention you guys do this for free?! Magnificent.

I haven't been here long but yes, happy birthday MAIW!!

That is probably my favorite thing about this site, I've seen too many good sites implode due to "stupid" members getting into fights over simple questions....and not just in the FS world. The quality of a site/forum can be measured by the caliber of it's members and MAIW is truly one of the highest ranking ones out there, thanks to all of you!!

Kudos MAIW, I look forward to spending many years on here :D

Thanks guys. Again not having deadlines for our projects is the only thing that keeps us sane. That and producing packages that we want vs. what others might want.

In short we've found a system where we can produce quality freeware and not be at each other's throats all the time.

Let's also recognize our friends over at World of AI who have been at it now for a while as well. Tom and his mates have improved everyone's simming experience.

Agree with you there, Mike. I may think that is not a real aircraft unless it can carry a sidewinder, but they do quality work and I enjoy their products.

New pack installed already and cant wait for the next one. Keep up this great work! Since I discovered your site and your packages I spot more and more military aircrafts in my sim. Hopefully you'll still provide us with such good AI stuff over the next years!

(I wont make suggestions for new aircrafts/packs as I know it is your own interest to make as many as possible in your spare time  )

BTW, the announcement on AVSIM says that we will be releasing a new "aircraft" each day. It should say "a new package" for each day instead. Although you may very well see something you've never seen before the week is over. Stay tuned.

Happy Birthday MAIW

Post by KevinJarvis »

I remember way back when I was heavily involved with an AI group. During one of our management meetings I brought up the idea of military AI.
I was told in no uncertain terms, and forgive the pun, 'It will never fly'.

Little did they know that a group of dedicated simmers who's passion for military aircraft would be the humble beginnings of what is now the pre-eminant military AI group.

I, for one, am proud to be associated with MAIW.
This group is by far the most dedicated, professional and fun bunch of people I've ever worked with.

Happy Birthday MAIW and keep up the good work.
