At which distance changes every LOD?

I believe it's based on pixels. IOW at 400 pixels wide and larger, you may see the LOD1 model. Then if the next LOD is at 300 pixels, you will see that one when the model is between 300-400 pixels wide and so on.

I believe that's the way it works, don't quote me on that.

Don't ask me about when the model loses its texture as it goes to the lower LODs, no clue about that.

I still believe this is either something to do with Mip-Maps or a graphics card thing, but Ive yet to find time to do a full test.

... and this has something to do with that, that FS is trying to keep up with set FPS limit. Farther LOD texturing is being skipped, sacrifice this for better FPS, me thinks.

How is that in FSX, haven't been there for months? :wink:
