changing flight plans

Post by tazzharm »

Hey guys.
just wondering if you have any ideas on best programs to modify flight plans and ai destinations.
my plan is to focas on two or three areas ( not sure yet where )
and have a variety of your great packages so I don't have to change areas to view different planes.
Is this possible at all
reason is untill stumbling upon MAIW I was stuck with My Traffic 5.1 and with that program I could change flight plans. ( Planes really sucked though )
thanks for your help.
Great job with these packages

well, you will need traffic tools to decompile the traffic file, but i believe decompiling them and recompiling the same flight plan can cause problems so you would want the raw text files to make changes.

Decompiling just once will not cause a problem. Store the text files after decompiling and replace them with the text files produced after every recompile, that keeps the text files up to date and ensures you never have to decompile again.
Which way is up?

ok I have the TT traffic program and to use from Woai so is there a guide for newbies such as I that explains it step by step
I don't want to mess MAIW's great work by changing things and find out I did it all wrong.
thanks again

The best tutorial for Ttools comes with Ttools, it is called ReadMe.htm, but comes with the Ttools download only, not the copy that comes with the WOAI installer. You need ttools202.zip from avsim.

Ok well I got the new TTools and tried but havn't figured it out yet.
but thanks for the info. some things I guess I'm just not ready for
if you find a example of one that is step by step using an example of flight plan I'd be interested in learning .
Just don't want to damage MAIW's great work by changing things.
tnanks
