The "Boneyard Project"

Post by Jumpshot724 »

Ok, so I started work on the MAIW DM Boneyard and ran into some trouble, and instead of going on about it there I decided to open this help topic here. I wrote the FPs for the T-37s etc, problem is they won't show up at DM. For some reason they're not being generated. I'm using TTools, and it was compiled successfully. Below are samples taken from the .txt files that make up this FP set:

Any ideas?? They have assigned parking but they don't generate ANYWHERE in the base, and there is quite enough parking. I even tried setting the FS to 0300 Monday to see if they're there and nothing.

Anyone??

I don't think I would use the KDMA afcad but a separate one. Why even have them fly? Just make it where they "pop" out of existence when it is time to "fly".

You need a second leg to your flightplans for a circuit.

But it's TNGs, should not need a second leg....right??[/code]

TNG's something like this:

AC#10,80-0044,50%,WEEK,IFR,1/16:54:47,TNG1/17:10:47,080,F,0001,KDMA,1/17:13:15,1/17:28:00,080,F,0001,KDMA

the first leg does the tng's the second leg is the last tng then it lands.
this one would be about a half hour long.

I don't think it needs to be any bigger than that, especially since I only plan on populating it with retired MAIW aircraft, that only being the T-37s, F-117s, and F-14s for now :P

What about all the F-4's
As far as I'm aware, the only F-4s MAIW offers are for the German package(s). And last I checked the only F-4s at AMARC were ex USAF, USN, and USMC birds

F-117 section done. Still a few on the receival ramp awaiting they're final resting spots in the yard :D

1. Create a second afcad next to KDMA.
2. Create a small invisible runway...say 10 by 10
3. Don't create a way for the aircraft to get to the runway
4. When its time to fly...they should just wink out of existence
5. Do that in the middle of the night so no one sees the magic
6. I think that works anyway :)

Why can't I just not connect them to the runway instead of making a whole new AFCAD??

I though the F-117 were going back to Tonapha, not DM for retirement. There is still a ton of stuff about the 117 that is classifed so I wouldn't think they would just leave them sitting in the bone yard.

Still I love the idea :)

they are indeed at Tonopah. sitting in a hangar with the wings ripped off :(
I think this is a good idea, I might do a version in the future if I can ever finish my current project. I would try to get all the actual planes that are there tho. and paint them em up nice and faded. probably alot of work tho.
