New around here - Question and comments

Post by ekuebler »

Hi there

First off, this site and all related packages and models are fantastic.

I am an FSX acceleration/vista user. Now I have searched this forum for the last week and because of the excellent information here, I have been able to correct almost all of the issues related to MAIW in FSX.(I'm sure you've heard of all of them many times!) As of right now all packages are installed and working perfectly. I was able to correct the prop texture issues on the c130's and even the glass problem on the Tornado's as well, thanks to the info found in this forum.

My only remaining issue is the glass texture on the A-10 and the F-14. Two of my favorites. Does anyone have any correction for those. I had a look at the bitmap in Dxtbitmap but I cannot seem to find the cockpit textures in either model. I was able to fix the Gripen on my own using that technique but it just leaves these 2 planes to fix. Any ideas??

Thanks for reading and thanks for the great packages

Welcome Eric.
I can't help with the rest though. I'm just part of the welcoming committee...LOL.

No problem Kevin and thanks for the welcome!! You guys have already done more than enough for all the military aviation enthusiasts out there. Great community, glad I came across it.

As far as the a-10 and the f-14, I'll just keep plugging away. You never know, maybe someone has figured it out!?

Take care
Eric

Erik, I can't help either becuase I'm still an FS9 user. But give this a day or two and those in the know will most likely have the answer you are looking for.

Welcome to the forums!

Thanks alot for the reply Mike. I'll be patient about those little fixes, not a big deal. I'm having fun touring military bases in the meantime!!

I'll keep trying and check in now and again!
