Awnings on Hill AFB Flightline

Post by Extrudinator »

If you've installed the excellent Hill AFB AI package, or seen a shot of Hill on Google Earth-- you know what I mean. Some kind of "awnings" seem to be "shading" the aircraft on the flight line. Does anyone have any "real world" information about these "awnings?" What are they? How do they keep the winds at Hill AFB from blowing them into the Great Salt Lake??

Very curious...

We are actually fighting to not have the shelters installed here at KGSB. They reduce your park flexablity on the Ramp.
