Animated Flags

Post by CAFedm »

I've noticed some have been using FSDS in creating these outstanding aircraft used in the MAIW packages. One thing that caught my attention was moving preflight flags on some aircraft. I am interested in adding some animated flags (the nationality kind) to some scenery and figure the process must be similar. If anyone has any ideas on this I would be happy to hear from you.

Happy 2009,

Brian

Brian do you have FSDS by any chance? If so I can send you an example of an animated flag.

Thanks Mike, I do work with FSDS indeed (vers 2.24 through 3.5.1). Would greatly appreciate seeing your example.

I use EZScenery and there are files that have animated flags of various countries that can be used by EZS.

Thanks for the example Mike, it works really well, just working on tweaking the shape a bit while keeping the animation working. Appreciate the help!

Regarding EZScenery,

I've just purchased it as it seems it has a lot of satisfied customers. It seems to be the same as InstantScenery (which I already have) with a few new libraries, however those alone are worth the price. The suggestion about using a flag library also sounds tempting, however I haven't found any as yet - if anyone knows of a filename to search for, please let me know.

Thanks again, Brian

Brian,
Search Flightsim for a file named EZOLIv33.
It contains about 99% of the scenery files available as of May 2008.
