I have not been able to find any pics but found this note
Throughout its history the role of No. 292 Squadron has been to provide operational conversion training on the P-3 Orion to RAAF aircrew. After completing their training with No. 292 Squadron, aircrew are posted to either No. 10 Squadron or No. 11 Squadron. No. 292 Squadron also has a secondary role of providing air transport using Orion aircraft.
I have found pics of No10 and no11 sqd

Found somemore info on your research
Since February 1981 Nos 10 and 11 Squadrons, as part of No 92 Wing, have maintained continuous detachments at Air Base Butterworth, Malaysia, for maritime surveillance. Conversion of crews to the Orion has been conducted by No 292 Squadron at Edinburgh, and since the introduction of an all-P-3C force, any aircraft on the flightline can be flown by either No 10, 11 or 292 Squadron crews.

OK so some good info here, but are there any a/c painted up in 292 sqn colours, like Ray's 10 and 11 sqn birds or are they a sqn without aircraft?

Yeah appreciate that mate, but sometimes an aircraft will be painted in their scheme though, just like 23 sqn on the RAF E-3Ds.
That's what I am after.
