FSX and Sound
How does FSX use custom sound for AI aircraft? Does the model need to be configured in some way to use the sound files?
Thanks
Thanks

Every AI aircraft in FSX has an aisound folder which contains either it's own dedicated sound set or an alias file to use the sound set of another AI aircraft. So only one B737 AI would need the sound set whilst other 737s would alias to that. But a 737 with a different engine could use a different sound set.
Which way is up?

There are payware and freeware packs by Alan Constable which cover custom AI sounds for FSX. You can also alias the soundai file to any other sound file you like, but I think that will produce a performance hit for the more 'enhanced' sounds.
Edited to add that he has also made a customised startup sound pack which works by replacing one of the aircraft lights, believe it or not!
