CGAS - Elizabeth City

Post by Joecoastie »

Heres a few shots of my version of KECG. I built it using my first hand memories of the time I spent there in the '90s along with Google Earth and some of my old photos. I used EZ Scenery and many EZ objects found online. With the addition of the recent MAIW pkg. the flight line is a bit "overpopulated". I made my own AF2 an added a few more spots down at the AR&SC hangars to handle the crowd.

Yes HC Jayhawks. I have a short helo runway along the taxiway and the H-60 fly off of it and don't bother the fixed wings. KECG was and probably still is where the Intruders and Hornets from Oceana and the Hawkeyes from Chambers came to practice T&G's.

Very nice. Will you be making this scenery available??

Also, are those true AI JayHawks from Hovercontrol??

Jumpshot, I don't think they could be called true AI, but they shure add a nice touch to the scenery. They are 20576 polys in LOD 1 and overall have only 3 LOD's.

Joe, do you have any plans to upload that scenery makeup anytime? It really adds up to the MAIW package.

Some screenies.

You guys do know that Jim Donlin created a CGAS Elizabeth City scenery, right? kecg_fs2004.zip on avsim. Takes only minor afcad adjustments to make it work with the MAIW package.
Why waste 'trons for a snappy signature when I can use this?

I may upload it if I can figure out how and what all I used to make it.
I d/l'd Jim's KECG scenery when it was first offered, and while nice I opted to keep mine.

I'll see if I can get a scenery package together on ECGAS very soon. Sorry I haven't posted sooner but there have been priorities other than FltSim (wife said get off ___ and do some work around here!)

I'm getting my "ducks in a row" to upload soon.

After I zip them, how and where do I upload (just here on MAIW) ?

Well I just uploaded my ECGAS file to AVSIM. I hope what I uploaded works for you all. . . . if not, I'm sure I'll hear about it.

Cheers,
