ADF AI testers wanted

Post by Bell 209 »

G'day all,

Well, I've talked about it for several years and the FS9 version is now ready for beta testing (the FSX version is about a week away). So far no-one's put their hand up for the FS9 version (interest in that sim seems to be drying up), so I need testers!

The package consists of RAAF, AAAvn, RAN and RSAF plans. Aircraft used are:

P-3C (the new Jake Burrus AI model)
C-130H/J-30
B350
B200
C-7A Caribou
C-17
B737 AEW&C (new AI only version)
F-111C
F/A-18
PC-9/A
CL-604
B737-700
Westland Sea King (new AI-only version by Chris Jones and me)
AS350 (new AI version by Chris Jones)
A109
S-70B-2 (new AI only version of Jordan Moore's Jayhawk)
S-70A-9 (new AI only version of Jordan Moore's Blackhawk)
CH-47D
Kiowa
Tiger ARH (new AI only version of Rory Kelly's model)
UH-1H (new AI only version of Jordan Moore's Hovercontrol Huey)
AS332
PC-21
CT-4

I'm working on an AI A330 tanker (KC-45 for the USAF) which will be available as soon as I can get it out the door (it will probably be the last thing I make using the FS9 exporter, too!) and will have the plans for 33SQN ready when the model is (no hurry as the first aircraft is still in the assembly shed at Brisbane airport without any tanker gear).

Please email me and post here if you'd like to help out.

Rob,

What are you using for some of the other models in there, such as F/A-18 and F-111, as there are no current AI models of these that we know of, plus you don't have a hawk in there either.

G'day Nick,

Both the Hawk (sorry, forgot that one!) and the F/A-18 are the Kari Virtanen and Mikko Maliniemi models for FS9.

Rob,
I'm using Nicks Hawk model in the current version of RAAFAI and found it to be frame rate friendly and nice on the eye.
We really do need an F111. Its like have an international airport with no 747's.

Yeah, I didn't know about it when the package was put together. I'll leave it to others to update it later (as will I!).

Dave's model is included in the package, it does the job well enough, especially in light of the fact the world's last flying F-111s will wrap up early 2010. In fact, since I put the package out to beta, 1SQN have ceased operating it, leaving only 6SQN as operators.

Yes, it won't be long before the sheds are full of less-capable Super Hornets as a stop gap measure.

A word to testers, make sure that you load the beta package to a seperate file and install it by hand, otherwise you run the real risk of writing over afcads and aircraft files.

I can answer that one for Rob. Yes it is the same item that you can now download from the VOZ website.

Anyway to separate the models from the package? I'm trying to see what the H-60's (S-70) models look like.

Yes. Run the auto installer, then change the install folder from FS9 to another folder on your hard drive.

Jet,
That's from the VOZ site or the "yousendit" link, which has expired?

I am definitely looking forward to the ADF package once I get the aircraft to appear in my FSX environment. I ran the auto installer accordingly and only get the parking assignments to appear in the airport selections.
Everything appears to be in the correct locations.
