I know that the MAIW packages are generated for FS9 and AI helicopters are coming around. I came across this program for FSX called Helitraffic 2009 by Flight1.
The website has a pretty compelling video of AI helos hovering over helipads, pedal-turning to a departure heading and climbing through turns. On arrival the AI helicopter appears to hover for a pre-determined period of time, pedal-turn over the spot and land. This might bring reality to my NAS Whiting Field South environment.
It appears to generate waypoints, helipads and flight plans for all helicopters available within the user's aircraft files. One of my longings for Microsoft Flight Sim has been to populate Military airfields with AI helicopters and have realistic flight profiles. This might be a tool to simplify the the processes we are already using for building AI rotary-wing flights. I'm looking forward to testing this tool later today.

This is the updated/latest version of HeliTraffic X. They've done some bug fixing and a bit of optimization. The earlier version, HeliTraffic X originally came out around Oct 2008. It was originally available on flightsimtools.com, I believe.
Why waste 'trons for a snappy signature when I can use this?
