I have been working on an Indian Air Force project for months.
Thanks to Mark we know have some awesome repaints.

I'm in the process of writing flightplans and obtaining AFCADs, but real life has reared its ugly head once again and this project has slowed to a crawl.

I will continue to work on this as time permits unless someone else is already doing this too.

Heres a teaser of what I'm working on.

Thanks to Mark for the repaints.
And to my secret AFCAD designer...you know who you are. :-)

Dan, checks in the mail.

I have also been trying to fill my Indian skies with mil ai, but am struggling to make much progress (what with the pressures of "real-life" commitments). I have written some believable representative flightplans for an-32, Il-76/78, and hal/hs.748 fleets. But I am finding it hard to find quality AF2 files. So far I have good VIAG VIGR VICX VAAH VEGK VAOZ VOBR (courtesy of MAIW) VNKT, workable VABB VIDP VANP, and ok VOHY VICG. In desperation, I have even turned my own amateur hand to the representation of some correctly placed aprons at VILH.

Kevin, your "secret afcad source" intrigues me!

Any chance these might become available to the occasional keen Indian-AI fan such as myself? (If I don't ask, I certainly won't get!)

Whatever the outcome, its good to find others with like-minded sensibilities. Cheers all...

Modification/update to official VOBR afcad

Post by Ford Friendly »

I happened to run across some data/information that the runways at Bidar have been extended since the MAIW afcad for VOBR was published (or at least the copy I have on my machince). So, I offer a modification made in AFX reflecting changes based on multiple sources.

This afcad was made directly from the MAIW afcad, using satellite imagery as a background. The runways, taxiways and apronways have been adjusted slightly location-wise based on that imagery. Also, a few additional parkings spaces were added for the same reason.

NOTE: The MAIW exclude bgl probably needs to be adjusted/a new exclude bgl made in order to reflect the longer runways.

I offer no additional support/explanation. No feedback is sought.

If you open this afcad in afcad2 and make no changes/do not save any changes, you shouldn't damage it/it should remain fully functional as I saved it in FS9 format.

AFX_VOBR_FF >>
AFX - made in AFX
VOBR - the ICAO
FF - my initials to distinguish this afcad from other sources

As usual, if anyone modifies this afcad and then distributes it later, please do not credit me in any way. (Yeah, I know, I'm strange.)

Try these: Merely fictional representative RPP FPGenerated flightplans to get them in the skies at some likely destinations. Includes Hs.748 and Il-76/78. Use them or delete them as you please...

You will need TTools.

Hmm, I can only attach two files at a time it seems.. :?

And, importantly...

Ok.

You will of course need to edit the Aircraft_... file so the entries match the aircraft.cfg entries for the models you wish to use in your setup.

Just noticed that the Aircraft_... file includes entries for three An-12s.

The Indian airforce no longer operates this type, but if you download the Michael Pearson repaints from Avsim (skj_an12_indianaf.zip) you might want add some "static" plans to have them appear wherever it pleases you. I know there is one at the museum on the edge of the apron at Palam AFS (military part of VIDP).

I haven't yet got round to it myself, so although the entries are ready and waiting in the Aircraft_ file, there are no corresponding flightplans in the FlightPlans_ file.
This should not cause any problems to the functionality of the flightplans.

Here are some Indian MiG-29 plans. As with the transport plans before, these are merely to get the models in the air between plausible destinations. Please use them, delete them, or improve them. Enjoy... :)

Looking forward to that ani4may.

I think I will try Pune...

I have pretty much covered all the Indian Air Force fighter fleet (not exact serials, mind) including Jaguars, Su-30, MiG-29, MiG-23/27, MiG-21, Mirage 2000 (I can't think if there's more), only no MiG-25s. Apart from populating all the likely airfields in India, they include the odd training sortie to friendly nations.

Let me know if you would also like me to post these.

the problem with indian afcads is that air fields have got bunkers for aircrafts to keep them hidden . aprons are made with textures like a leopards hide.
these are usually found on the indo-pak border.

if you have google earth search for govardhanpur. near jamnagar .

I'd love to use these flightplans if you'd care to post them here. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, they are too greedy on bandwidth to post here. Maybe I can email them?
