Hello and Happy Easter!
I was flying with a 777 the route from Rome to Buenos Aires using a custom flightplan, which crosses the atlantic and flies across the Brazilian coast. When flying this section (Northwest of Rio de Janeiro) the game gets stuck and crashes. An error message appears mentioning the facilities.dll module.
I tried to remove all the afcads, landclasses and sceneries in the area, flying the route with a different aircraft and so on, but nothing happens.
I don't think it depends on a traffic file, as I fly at 16x, so traffic is disabled... What can I do?
Thanks and enjoy your day!

I had this very same problem a few weeks ago. It turned out to be a scenery problem.
So here's what I did.
I downloaded and installed a program named "Flightsim Mananger". It can be found at any of the big library sites.
You must also download a program named "Start FSM".
FSM had a timer that wouldn't allow it to be used after a certain date. Start FSM changes the date on your computer so you can run FSM. Really simple to do.
When you have FSM stated, click on the icon with the pic of a doctor. Select the 'scenery' tab then click on 'scan'. This operation will scan all your scenery folders and tell you if and how many errors you have in your sceneries.
Then just click on the 'repair' button and it will fix everything and also make a back-up.
After doing this I don't have this error anymore.
Let me know if you need assistance with FSM.

I found version 2.8.5 but not the Start FSM proggie. I tried running it anyway and just kept getting error messages saying I needed a newer version from www.ranainside.com, but there was nothing on there to download.KevinJarvis wrote: I downloaded and installed a program named "Flightsim Mananger". Is there any chance you could make these two programs available to those who would like a copy?
Thanks.

Thanks, Ron. I got it to run, but only after I had reset my computer to display dates in the US format (mm-dd-yy). I was rather surprised to see that the program didn't like the fact the entries in my scenery.cfg file didn't have area and layer numbers the same! Could be a useful program, but I won't be using it too often if I have to keep changing the date format.
