Russian Air Force Airborne Command Posts

Post by Tupolev 144 »

Hello all,

Since MAIW didn't ever make a package for the Russian Air Force I decided to make one of my own  .
I've just uploaded a flightplan package for the Russian Airborne Command Posts still flying around in skies far from here. The package is available here. Included in the package are flightplans for the following aircraft:
  • Ilyushin Il-80 - RA-86146, RA-86149
    Ilyushin Il-82 - RA-76450, RA-76451
    Ilyushin Il-87 - RA-86147
And the following ATC_type= voicepack modifications:
  • Il-80
    Il-82
    Il-87
All those aircraft are based at Chkalovsky Airbase [UUMU] near Moscow and since this airport isn't included as default in FS9 (I don't know for FSX) be aware you need to install the Tolmachevo Military Traffic Pack in wich a scenery for this airbase is included. I have some other Russian flightplan packages in the works, so any feedback about this package is very welcome. I would also like to thank Rysiek Winawer for his flightplan generating program, I used it for those flightplans and it's an absolutely stunning program to use. Thank you very much!

Since for both the Il-80/87 and the Il-82 no real ai-model is available I would like to ask if someone would like to repaint these aircraft on the best available substitutes wich are in my opinion Vala's Il-86 and Rulexy's Il-76 (The RATS Il-76 is even better but unfortunately no paintkit is available).

I hope you enjoy this package, and as said before, feedback is always welcome!

No UUMU designator in FSX.
Chkalovskoe Z25Y N55* 52' 42.17" E38* 3' 33.21" Elev. 498
I think UUMU is probably Z25Y in FSX

Z25Y > UUMU

I got this package recently, and seeing that not much feedback has been forthcoming on this thread, I just thought I'd add that it is marvelous! I have them working well alongside this:

It's a scenery by Artur Cajdler, and I think it's spot on!

Thank you Peter, for it started my interest in getting some much needed Russian AI.

Thanks for the kind words guys! I know there has been a heavy delay in the development of the A-50 flightplans but I can admit that they are almost finished...

One other question I have; repaints for the Il-80 maxdome flightplans I made last year are unfortunately not made as of today. I would really appreciate if someone would paint them for the VALA Il-86 model. A paint for the RATS Il-86 would be even better but as far as I know a paintkit for that model is not available.

Regards,
Peter
