Thank you very very much, now, time to get the buff flying-I'll probably post some screenshots of the result.

Where can these B-52 AI aircraft be found?

To me the one supplied with the Alphasim payware B-52 is the best AI model. Look at it this way: you will get a fully flyable model for free with the AI buffs ;-)

I have a question related to this. Alphasim's Buff is a half-hearted attempt at an AI version with 37(!) textures and a meager attempt at LOD's. Mike Stone's model I'm sure doesn't have any LOD's but has only 8 textures. Would it be better for AI?

Many moons ago I recall one of the talented MAIW modellers was working on a B-52 - did the production line grind to a halt?

I dont know about the poly count compared to Mike Stone's model, but the Alphasim Buffs don't have much effect on my framerates.

It was been hit by the labour and production issues at Boeing, and is now being hampered by the company's re-org.

or

No, it hasn't been finished yet.

If you're talking about mine, the thing that stopped the process was the flat takeoff. I was actually thinking about getting it back out and seeing what could be done but it's a very complicated model with some serious animations so don't expect anything real quick. :)

A few months ago, I had added a couple of B-52's to John Stinstrom's Lajes AB (LPLA). I just don't recall what AI's I used to do it (SEE SCREENSHOTS). :?

The stuff I downloaded (see top of thread) worked fine for the buffs (I used the Kubota B-52 in AI config with repaints as the readmes say) Oh, and I think the flightplans are pretty good as they do use MAIW ranges etc. To be honest I think the stuff above would do until MAIW bring out a B-52 package, but I don't think there is a hurry-apparently the ai model still needs a bit of ironing out (and of course its ready when it's ready!!)

PS I don't find fps a problem with this as there isn't that much traffic around Minot or Barksdale anyway.

And another thing (!) For a look at how my B-52 ai shows up, I did put up some screenshots a while ago... feel free to have a look to see if you like them.
