Problem with Hiroaki Kuboata's AI B-52

Quite self-explanatory...got the new plans available on Avsim and installed Graham King's textures... how can I sort it out? :D

LOL.........Are you using the correct textures for that model?? I just looked through all of Graham's paints on AVSIM and he's only done ones for the AlphaSim payware "AI" B-52.

And I, I've probleme with my alphasim AI B-52.... they are not visible !!!

Installation is good. The names in flightplans are correct... the G version is visible (in both player and ai mode), and the H version not (also in both player and ai mode)

After a good night, i've a look to my problem.

I notice when i've installed Graham King texture, the name of Air file in aircraft.cfg was modified from original... I changed it and it work fine.

I now have another problem.

All my Ai B-52 appear good in FS world.

But when starting, the nose go hight (only the main gear rest on the ground.. the nose gear go to sky).... and the aircraft roll on itself and after disapear into the ground... lol

Whats this problem ???

This type of back flip problem at startup is usually caused by an aircraft.cfg file error where the longitudinal locations for the landing gear contact points and/or the empty weight CG are incorrect and improperly positioned relative to one another. If the empty weight CG position for an AI aircraft with tricycle landing gear is too far behind the main gears longitudinal position the AI aircraft will do just what you describe at startup.

Unfortunately I can't definitively correct the problem for you since I do not have this model and accurately and effectively adjusting the locations of the contact points and empty weight CG positions requires visual reference to the model in FS9.

I would suggest that you try moving the empty weight CG position forward or back until your problem is corrected and then testing that the AI-52's takeoff, flight and especially landing performance has not been impaired.

AI FDE optimization can be quite time consuming as it requires a lot of testing. :(

Hi Foufure,
Did you use the dedicated AI cfg file in place of the flyable cfg?
I do not have any problems with the aircraft on my setup.

Also there are repaints by Graham King for Yaetsu Yoshimitsu's & Hiroaki Kubota's B-52 on AVSIM Mike.

uai_b52_usaf.zip and uai_b52h_usaf.zip

See if the txt I sent helps. Not used in a while, but I "think" this corrected the problem.
Did not realize the print would run together. If you want, we can try a PM.

Alpha Sim's aircraft.cfg has a error in the contact_point section that needs to be ammended.

I successfully use the following settings.

Graham King suggests the following. (look up the Alphasim B52 Read Me.txt file in Grahams packages! Allthough i have not tried Graham's settings I believe they work too. Try replacing the appropriate settings in your aircraft.cfg and you should be fine! Do not forget backing up the original settings!
