Launch times for MAIW Packages.

Post by GZR_Sactargets »

I know I could dig through the traffic bgls to find the launch times for a particular airfield set. But that is time-consuming. I am probably stupid, but I have also sat at the take-off runway and waited for something to launch. How hard would it be to add some kind of 'activity' schedule to the packages? Some packages have done that to tell you when to look for something. (E.G.-Thunderbirds at Otis). It would be a big plus to those of us with limited time to play 'airplane spotter' in the sim. Not complaining at what we get, just hoping for some simple solution.

All you really need is the Traffic Toolbox SDK from MS with it's explorer feature. Download the SDK here: FS2004 Traffic Toolbox SDK

Install it, boot FS9, go to your in game menu under "Tools", select "Traffic Toolbox" and then "Explorer". It will bring up a list of all the AI in the active AI area and you can see when they depart, where they're going and much much more. Plus if you click on the entry, it switches to the pan view of that particular AI aircraft. Just switch your view again by pushing the "S" key and you're right back to your user aircraft. Couldn't be more simple.

My personal favourite is to use the timetables function of ACA2005. It will show you the departures and arrivals of any airfield you choose, plus will save the output as html files for your reference.
