Other (shameless) request...

Post by james84 »

Don't want to seem rude... this beast has being flying around Italy since last year and there is no repaint yet. As you can see from the photo, the livery is quite complicated

Any chance to have it repainted? :D
Or better: being this livery VERY DIFFICULT to make, how can I add the correct registration to a blank 767?

Ah...it wasn't all bad - the link didn't LINK properly..............

It would be fairly easy to change or add a registration, you'd probably need to download the POSKY paint kit and just pop in the reg using that with Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photo Shop or FSPainter, you could probably just use MSPaint if you can't use layers.

Ok, then I'll go with Paint... but I need the Aardvark or AI Malcontent model!
Do you know where I can get a blank texture? I already checked around the web and there is nothing available...

Oh no they ain't; go to the 767 page (you can find the AI Aircraft & Repaints tab at the bottom of the home page); the avsim links for the two 767-200's aren't linked to avsim anymore, but they are definitely on flightsim.com.

Hi all. I just finally seen the pic, and was wondering if that is the squadron out of McGuire that is in the GLANG part 2 package. I notice two of them there.

767? The one depicted in the photos in an ex-TWA aircraft rented by Boeing to the Italian AF until they get the 767TT! It cannot be in the GLANG2 pack!

Ok, got the paintkit for the PW model. I tried to add the reg with MS Paint but the textures didn't show up on the model... now I replaced them with ones featured in the paintkit zip.
As for the flightplans, I used the ones for the Italian governmental aircraft made by Russian AI Traffic System. They are meant to be used with the A319, but one of these has Middle Eastern routes (Rome-Abu Dhabi-Kabul) which are flown by this 767.

Sorry, I didn't explain clearly, you will need to convert the textures to either DXT3 or 32-bit, and you can do that quite easily by downloading and using Martin Wrights DXTbmp conversion tool.

You can get it here

Click on new files on the left menu

Ok, here it is
Image

Did you know I can see those mountains from my house? :D
I just added the N606TW registration with MS Paint but it is unreadable. How can I have a good one? Then I converted it to DTX3 as suggested by delbydoo.
Tomorrow I'll try to fix the reg and add a small Italian AF logo placed on the port side alongside with the writing "Aeronautica Militare". Let's see what happens...
I know what I've done is pure crap, but a repaint of this aircraft doesn't exist. Do you think I can release it without any trouble or shall I ask permission to the author of the paintkit?
