Fly-by-wire was pretty new stuff and our Berl Brechner got to ride along on a training mission in
the F-16 "Electric Jet," as we called it. The precision of the side stick inputs to the FBW computers
was amazing. Who would have guessed that 25 years later airliners would be flying with similar technology?
