You actually don't need a tool, you just need to know how to fix the issue.

Mike, I know how to do it manually but didn't The Owl's Nest have a tool/program that made it easier and less time consuming. I remember reading somewhere that they were going to put it back in their download section. It is still mentioned on their Front Page.

The Owl's Nest isn't a 'they', it's just one man, Martin, who has other things going on in his life. I'm sure that when he isn't as busy in his personal and professional life he'll return to update the site and downloads. Until that time I'm afraid it'll stay the way it is.

One of the things about his prop replacement tool is that it has to be updated for every single new model (and sometimes new repaints too). Even if the tool was available right now it would not replace the textures on newer models and some newer repaints.

Hi everybody,

First of all: as of today the MAIW Texture Replacer is back online. It has been reworked so that it now fits the other three Owl's Tools. I am sorry that it has taken so long, but these last months did not provide any spare time.

Like Mike has said: it is easy to fix the issue. The tool only comes in handy since it spares you from doing the work yourself. And as Celtic said: unknown textures can't be replaced. But as you might have noticed the propeller textures used in the latest MAIW releases were in a form that they work in FSX directly.

I wish everybody a Merry Christmas!
Cheers,
Martin
