Avatar in 3D

Post by nickblack423 »

Anyone seen this yet??? If not you MUST MUST MUST, it is phenomenal, amazing, wonderful. It is the way all films should be filmed from now on. Go see it but make sure its in 3D as it is really something to experience.

Hope it's better than the ps3 game, because that one is one of the worst games I ever played.

I saw it last night in IMAX 3D....one of the BEST movies I have ever seen. It took James Cameron 10 years to make this and you can just tell how much effort and detail went into every inch of this movie. I can't wait to see it again.

What technics do they use to make it 3D? Wearing those colored glasses? In that case it will not work for me. Sometimes you have to life with the gene pool your parents mixed

For the 3D IMAX you do wear special glasses, but they're not the colored lenses. You can watch the movie without them but it will be slightly fuzzy.

The glasses are like big ugly sunglasses lol

Well I got problems watching 3D. When I fill a glass looking perpendicular onto it I can never say how much I filled already  Also without the (in Germany black/white) poles aside the street I would never be able to estimate the distance to the car in the front. It would vary by as much as 50%.

I've always had trouble with 3-D, but I'm red-green color-blind :x : just gives me a headache! So the IMAX glasses don't use color to give you the effect?

Saw it for the second time yesterday. Better than the first time.

On a side note, anyone start/know of anyone modeling any of the ships from the movie??

I'd love a model of the Valkyrie shuttle they use 8)

Just saw last night in 3D. I thought some modeler in the FS world would've designed the Gunships by now. Not sure how accurate the flight dynamics would be in FS.

Finally saw Avatar (2D only). Even my wife loves this movie - she usually does not love the SciFi stuff
