Good point. I did not ask you when, instead I ask can you? In case you can not it will not harm.

Hm, that type is still in prototype status meaning changes to it still may be done. I doubt someone will release such an AI model when deliveries are that far away.

BTW: The word "need" is (most times) not welcome here

Hi,

I appreciate you're just trying to collect info for a database being built elsewhere :)

I'm not a modeller, but my guess would be that if anyone at MAIW is creating such a model (or planning to), then they will not be announcing it until it is released in a package.

This means that us fans do not pester them with "Is it nearly ready" type questions. Or get bitterly disappointed when the project is cancelled.

Even if that is not explicit in the forum rules, it is some of the logic behind them.

HTH,

Agree for the world "need" Just a newbie mistake.
Regarding the prototype.... A400M made her first flight in December 2009. Now there is issues about funding, but still think that at the end we will have this plane.
Also I am not a fan of airbus, but still........... in case you have it in reality is good to have it as AI model. Especially when you have standing orders from 7 countries.
For me do not matter how long the working process of building this AI model will take.
Best regards

Then you won't be disappointed to find out that a model will take as long as it takes to be released

No, I can manage without it. Yes I will be disappointed from your unwillingness to try or to keep your tries secret. But I am sure that someone someday will do it. So take care with your projects.
Please accept my apologies of keeping you away from your work and made you answering me in a post against forum rules. I just try to ask for help, nothing more......... I thought that I am on right place at it is suppose to be Military aircraft AI development forum, but maybe my understandings are different then yours.
Sorry again for your time
take care
Nick

What exactly is it that you are owed by us, on which you can justifiably base your disappointment in us?

I owe you nothing. same is valid for you to me. Asking a question and receiving answers. That's all. It is normal to be disappointed when do not receive what I expect.
You pretend to be "Military" AI works group. Where to ask for Military airplane if not here?

If you expect us to service your "request-at-will" for top-quality FREE ai models, produced in our own time at our own expense (with real world lives to lead outside of this hobby), then I can understand that you will be quite disappointed with this community.

I am sorry that we cannot live up to those expectations...

Nick, while not a single one of the posters above is technically a member of the MAIW staff or contributor team, they are however what I would call "regulars" on our forums and certainly avid supporters. As such they know how things work around here. One thing we don't do is requests. The reasons are many and I hope you can understand that as FREEWARE developers, who develop our packages on our own time and dime, that we will only work on the things that have a personal interest to each of us.

So as a staff member here, I would like to welcome you to our forums and ask that you do indeed read through the forum rules which among other simple rules, ask that you do not make requests for certain models or ask about release dates. We all have personal lives and this bit certainly comes after our home lives.

Often times brand new forum members will join up and their first post is essentially like yours, asking that a certain model be made or created. Since they are new to the forums, they don't understand that this is bad form around here and usually get a bit of a stern welcome as you have. It's not a big deal but I just wanted you to know why the guys are not all excited to see your request.

We are indeed the home of Military AI but we are not a commercial organization and as such can and only will work on the projects that we have the personal time and resources for.

If you have a question that you need answered about Military AI then indeed this is the place.

Please take the time to look around and you might be surprised, with the knowledge base here, you just might be making your own A400M AI model sooner than you think.
