UK Search and Rescue to go private
I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Re: UK Search and Rescue to go private
We went contract EMS here at an Army post in the US. The reason given due to regular Army units being deployed and a lack of evac coverage. Commanders don't mind as it's one less issue they have to worry about stateside, as we would have to provide a crew/aircraft for a 24 hr duty.
