WW2 aircraft

Post by gypsymoth »

Can you help me to find the following aircraft - P51/Mustang, P38, P47, & Hawker Typhoon ? I'm hoping someone with more knowledge might know where I can get them. I want them to use the WW2 (1939-47) Ibsley airfield I'm making - they were some of the aircraft that used it. I realise this is modern aircraft site having got items from here before, but I thought it's worth asking

There are AI models and some paints for the P-47 and P-51's here...http://rayparker-repaints.jimdo.com/. Not sure about the P-38 or Typhoon, though some people are using CFS2 models until a true AI model comes along.

I have successfully used some CFS2 models as AI.
While they are from from perfect they do work and look quite good also. Just don't put too many into a small area.

The P51 and -47 mentioned previously are the way to go now.

Thanks both. I'll give them a whirl.....I do have some nice Spitfires (Mk1 & 9) & a lovely MK1 Hurricane, but no info with them to find out where they came from as they were with a scenery package with no info. I have used normal aircraft very successfully by stripping out the panel & other not needed bits. My computer copes very well! Cheers, Terry.
