Release of the FSX A-10 Canopy Fix (for Rysiek's A-10)

Post by gsnde »

Today I have released the model fix for Rysiek's A-10. You find it in the download section of The Owl's Nest. This is for FSX only! The concept is easy: you point the tool to the folder below which you have stored your MAIW aircraft. Start the analysis of the folder structure below and it will list all found A-10 models. You have then the option to install the update. The process is reversible from within the tool as long as you don't manually delete the model backup file (it has an owl extension ;-))

Furthermore in good tradition I have released a Mirage 2000 texture fix. Be aware that I have removed the alpha channel masking. This technique does not look right in FSX, because all aircraft parts behind the mask are invisible as well (for example the gear).

Enjoy :smt001
Cheers,
Martin

Let me misuse this to announce a cool new feature of The Owl's Nest :smt002

Both Airport Search and Distance Calculator now have Google Maps support. You can open the airport location in Google Maps by clicking on the link in the airport search results.

The distance calculator presents the calculation result with a map showing the route.
