NASA Global Hawk

Post by Rotten Ralph »

On the flight global site, they have a piece about a NASA Global Hawk. Does anyone know of a repaint for this bird for AI?

None that I know of. We tried painting it for a possible NASA package that we might do and found out that because the way the textures are mapped on the model, it cannot be painted correctly. So if someone ends up doing those two paints, it won't be 100% correct.

The only way to fix it would be to go back and rework the texture map which probably isn't going to happen.

Mike
I noticed you said about a NASA package, MAIW might release. Just out of curiosity, if a package is not fully done and does not get released, do the aircraft in that package just drift of into oblivion or would they be released on AVSIM etc by the repaint & model maker themselves?
The reason I ask is that I have been after the NASA stuff for years & years, and would hate to see that hard work just disappear.

You're only talking about repaints since the model would have been released. I'm not sure Graham releases his paints en masse to Avsim much anymore and the other painters...I'm not sure. These would not be MAIW releases, of course, just if that particular person wanted to release their work.
