retro RAF Jaguar force

Post by Fokket50 »

Chris A. Brown and myself have been working on another retro package, this time it is the RAF Jaguar force.
All the RAF Jaguars will be included, as well as scenery for RAF Coltishall. The aircraft from the RAE,ETPS,CAM and AAEE are also included.

We are about to finish this project, standby for a release in the near future.

Oooh lovely, thats something we looked at doing a while back but never got around to. Should be brilliant.

And it'll be nice to see my model being used again. Not my best effort by far, but it was the first full model I completed by myself.

I am not sure that ducking will help, Dan. A foxhole might be more appropriate

If it encourages Nick to model a Jag with bunker busting ordnance... ...I'll do it!

Jokes aside, if it weren't for Nick's first solo model, none of this would be happening now. I can only say thanks, and be grateful it was even produced in the first place (where's the "We're not worthy" smiley?).

BTW, is there a paintkit around for this model?

The package has just been uploaded to both Avsim as Flightsim as RAF_Jaguar.zip, should be available soon.
I forgot to mention the Institute of Aviation Medicine aircraft in the readme  , but it is included.

We have started on our next retro package, details will follow when we are ready to show it :smt002

Great package, however i can only see 4 maybe 5 aircraft on the ground at Coltishall and Abingdon. I've looked at the afcad and it looks fine. I'm using the right models because i can them elsewhere. Very very confused, anybody have any idea?

If you check which slots they were parked in you would find that those slots are probably all bigger than the slots allocated to the Jags.
The models this package uses are the chuted models and are a larger size. The Jag models need to be resized from 13m to 9m.

How does one change the parking dimensions of an aircraft from 13 to 9? Through the cfg somewhere?

One way is to use the Aircraft Editor tool in Lee Swordy's AFCAD v2.21, available on Avsim.

I seem to have a problem with the large hangar at Abingdon that appears parallel to the runway appearing untextured. I've installed the scenery mentioned in the readme one by one to try fix this but to no avail. I'm probably missing something and any help would be appreciated.
