Nicely done-with style, I wonder if the pilot found out?

The rear seat crew apparently is RN, explains the sense of humour

Re: I'm with stupid
A cross posting I guess. We've had USAF pilots flying in Typhoons and a mate of mine flew a F-15 when on temp transfer to the USAF from the RAF.

Re: I'm with stupid
The story I've been given is that he failed the Harrier course, and has been offered a transfer to the RAF pending successful completion of the Tornado course (he's a pilot, not a nav). (There are very few other fixed wing jobs available to failed RN Harrier jocks, so if there's no place, there's no job if they don't want to accept a rotary crossover).
The RAF used to have quite a few RN 'attachments' for guys considered not suitable for single-pilot ops but still suitable fast jet jocks. I think that's slowly drying up. I've personally taught a few RN ex-FJ pilots (one of which did a tour on F3s) on conversion to rotary after a tour with the RAF or having failed the Hawk course.
Not quite sure what's going to happen to the pilots if the rumoured retirement of the Harrier force goes ahead at the end of this year.

They'll probably take up flight sim. The question is 9 or X?
