Jake was progressing nicely until some plankton, i.e me, started looking up the different versions and making suggestions to enhance the accuracy of the model. Jake did show me some screenies of his WIP mods and they looked good, but as Mike says RL seems to be holding him hostage currently.

Yep Steves to blame :D

The greek pack was in pre beta

I think we should go ahead and release this and update the models later
I'm sure Jake wouldn't mind

Yep, I am to blame but I think that Jake has done enough models to know by now that little issues get pointed out quickly enough without major variant differences not being addressed. Flightsimmers are generally an unforgiving lot, it seems.
Jake was fine with the observations and if he wanted the model released in that guise he would have done so.

So Gary, using the same rule of thumb I decided to release those porno pics of your wife/sister/mother/girlfriend/dog (delete as applicable) as you can always remove them later. :D

*yeah, I know I shouldn't have done that - sorry but my morality chip is playing up. I blame it on the weather  *

Steve, Jake was happy for me to release the model, but when mark asked me to paint the HAF A7's i agreed to hold on untill the package was released, all these mods are new to me, which is kind of a shame considering the amount of time i put into it. i think it was a wire frame when i first got it.

MAIW cannot release a package in this manner. What someone else does is their business. That package, if released, however, needs to be done off site and not discussed here.

Ray,

If you release any package containing the JAI A-7, please make sure the models are dated 9-18-2009 and the AI FDE's you include are named JAI A-7H Corsair II v4.0 Dry Flight Model and JAI TA-7H Corsair II v4.0 Dry Flight Model dated 9/27/2009. Any JAI A-7 models and AI FDE's that Jake distributed prior to 9-18-2009 had takeoff and landing problems caused by the model. Jake and I worked together to correct these problems through both model and AI FDE changes that are in included in the models dated 9-18-2009 and the v4.0 AI FDE's dated 9-27-2009.

Thanks,

Mike

PS: I don't think these model changes should affect any textures developed for models dated prior to 9-18-2009.

    Mike

For your info and records the latest models are dated 25/3/2010 these were to fix some small bits in the visual model only

    Gary,

I never received the 3-25-2010 models so I have no idea which base model Jake used for these fixes. I would hope these were made on the 9-18-2009 model or some derivative thereof, but with so many versions of the JAI A-7 floating around, who knows. :?:

Hence the problem! All kidding aside, I sure hope Jake is alright these days.
