You'll need the usual MAIW packages as well as RAF GSE 1980's scenery. also please make sure that the file Mtrees4.bgl is in the MAIW Scenery objects library or you won't see any trees.
Add both of the files provided into your Addon secenry/scenery file.
If anyone can't open .rar files drop me a PM and i'll e-mail it too you.
Enjoy
I'll release RAF Akrotiri as soon as i can get rid of the main tower.

Just realised a big mistake. I put two of the HAS the wrong way round.
Please re-download this one if you downloaded the original.

ADE9x. I've looked in the list of models used and says it isn't there. I've written excludes for it still to no avail.

Go into tools and select remove stock data then select generic buildings. Make a backup before you do it incase it takes away more than you bargained for.

Cool one!
I was wondering about making a Dutch base, but you already did it so I'll do another one! :smt003
I tried it and works nicely (time to do some plans for Dutch Vipers) but there is a small issue that should depend on elevation: if I move over the runways they disappear and only the concrete base remains visible! Maybe you are using some kind of terrain or mesh in your FS?

I was using NL2000 v2 and have stripped it out a while back. It may have changed the elevation on my computer. This doesn't happen on my laptop and at a loss as to what's going on. That strip i think is a taxiway i put underneath the runway to remove the partial visibility prohlem i had a few days back. You;re more than welcome too have a fiddle with it.

The next obvious Dutch one to do would be Vokel. Cough.....Cough.

Ok, I'll try!
I'll also make a small landclass file because the default textures around the airport are totally wrong, there is no grass, just urban areas!

When you've finished with that landclass file may i have a copy also. My knowledge of making these things is poor at best. There is a Dutch F-16 package already out there. probably needs updating though:

Ok!
I found a solution for the runways to appear: the in-game default altitude is 11.4ft (3,42mt), while you had 0. I think you have some file that owerwrote the original ones while installing NL2000 in one of the folders contained in the scenery/world directory.
I recompiled the file you released in order to fix this, but I didn't have some of the libraries you used installed and I cannot see the trees and some other objects anymore (they appeared correctly before), so it's up to you to reupload it if you want, the only major correction to make being the changing of the airport altitude (anyway you should see whether this issue persists with other users as well... maybe I'm the only one!).
You should also add a couple of small missing aprons in the north-western corner as the hangars are sitting on the grass and remove the holding point on the taxiway getting to the blast pad of Rwy. 9, just double click on it and change it to "normal" instead of "hold short" (this will cause the AI aircrafts to reach the runway but they'll never takeoff) but as for the rest it's an overall nice job!
I attached the landclass file for you to d/l to this message, nothing special but better than nothing to get rid of the town!

Thanks for the advice. Landclass worked perfectly. The scenery used are as follows:

Atsugi
Elmendorf
Papa
MAIW aircraft shelter
Mtrees4 (no idea what package this came with)
IDF PART 1
Beaufort
RAF Hangars Library
Mirage F1 Objects library
RAF GSE 1980's

If you are running default scenery you'll need the above file
Extra aprons added and hold short removed: third time lucky.......

Thx Shaggy!
Just one thing: the landclass file doesn't change the altitude, it changes only the grass textures. You need to change the altitude with ADE9X!

Hi Shaggy, I've install le last version of EHLW and also the file from James84. Nice scenery, but the AI landed float over the terrain.
The only addon in the area is UTE Europe.

Any suggestion?

Thanks, Giorgio

Gents,

I'm a bit confused here as well. I've just installed the V3 file as above. I have no problems with elevation on AI traffic, but do have the peeling back on the runway textures. I do have UT Europe installed but have never had NL2000 or any Dutch specific scenery installed. Any ideas as to which changes I should attempt? Thanks in advance.

Gary

Edit: I'm guessing what to do here, as I'm really not clued up on this, but have tried to make random changes and hope I stumble upon the solution. Changing the airfield elevation in ADE9X to 11.40 (random guess) removes the runway texture problem, but removes all airfield scenery (aprons/taxiways remain).

I have absolutely no idea what is going on there. my guess is that ute is interfering somewhere with the airport elevation but other than that i can't help any further as i don't have ute on my system. sorry.
