Red Cross parcels!!!!!

Post by Stewart Pearson »

Will need some the above in the next day or two as I am cut off from the rest of the world due to snowdrifts.

Saw the craziest weather this morning. Blizzard conditions with thunder and lightning

Snow 2-3 feet deep around cottage, with the rural public road worse in places.

Still, with the road blocked it means the postman can't deliver bills!!!!

Most routes around Perth pretty much at a standstill.

Methinks it could be a looooooooooooooonnnnnnnnggggggggggggg winter

You'd think, but we are prone to power cuts (off this a.m. for about 3 hours), which does make it a tad difficult

Me too, send me some, we had a whole inch of snow yesterday.

Hope you don't get hit too badly with the power cuts, Stew

Anyone would think we'd been hit by Arctic conditions the way the locals have been driving

A whole inch!!? You greedy sod!

Where our cottage is, we can look down into the Tay valley where the main Dundee to Perth road is located. The Perth (and ultimately Edinburgh & Glasgow) bound lane has been a solid queue since about 1pm. The southbound M90 (Edinburgh) road is blocked, and the A9 south and north bound (Glasgow) is blocked.

What really grips me, is that these roads have been like that since early this morning, with every radio station telling folks to stay at home.

Did they listen? Did they "rhymes with thuggery"

Aye, sometimes we get snow and sometimes we get thunder and lightning.

Bit odd getting both at the same time though.

There were times scientist spoke about global warming. Since last winter they talk about global climate shifting. So, were is the truth? Few days ago they sad it will be the hardest winter in the last 100 years with some more cold winters to follow. Folks, if CO2 really warms up Mother Earth keep the engines running and burn down the rain forest as temperatures below 0°C (last night -9°C) is not of my like

One inch of snow here but sunny.
