AFCAD/ AFX question

Post by awj112 »

I am looking at modifying a couple AFCADs by adding parking. What I would like to know is if when you add a parking space to a taxi route, does the route snap attach to the parking space or do you have to edit the route to connect to the parking space?

Someone will probably correct me but i don't think it does snap to it. You'll have to add the taxiways to the main route manually.

In AFCAD 2.21 and Airport Design Editor the parking spots do not automatically connect to taxi routes when you place them on taxi routes. You first place the parking spots and then add the taxi routes. This way the taxi routes will snap attach to the parking spots.

In AFCAD, the actual parking spot (the green circle with an airplane motif) does not "snap to" anything. But if you draw a "link" (in this case a "parking link") from the parking spot to the taxiway network, the end of your parking link will snap to the existing taxiway (if your mouse pointer is close enough).

Cross posted with hawksh. His way works too. :)
