QF-16's...
QF-16's...
I am working on putting together a QF-16 package......I was wondering if someone could paint a few for Eric Marciano's F-16 package....I've attached a few details about it....I'm giving the AI 16's a shot at the moment......
Re: QF-16's...
DON'T TOUCH THE F-16!!!
I love that plane!
Just joking! I've read a review of that decal sheet, so far it's fictitious, but the oldest F-16s (included the returned Italian ones) might end up as target drones or gate guards... this shouldn't be taking much!

Here's 84-1260 at Holloman.....I don't know if I like the orange or if I need to make it darker.....

Nice paint!Bone184 wrote:Here's 84-1260 at Holloman.....I don't know if I like the orange or if I need to make it darker.....
In my opinion the orange bands shouldn't be that coloured, as well as the grey fuselage paint. I think a faded look would be better. Just keep in mind that target drones are prepared and then stored in sunny areas waiting for their faith... so they DO take a lot of sun!

I went ahead and changed the color & markings abit.....what do you think?james84 wrote:Nice paint!Bone184 wrote:Here's 84-1260 at Holloman.....I don't know if I like the orange or if I need to make it darker.....

Re: QF-16's...
ok, it's been awhile since I updated this post, I'm done but was wondering something? Is there a way I can paint something so it's invisible? I was thinking that there's a color I can paint a part & it would be invisible....like for example the pilot! Any ideas?
Re: QF-16's...
You can make parts invisible on some models using a black alpha channel. However this depends on the way the model is compiled - the alpha channel either affects the transparency of the texture or the shine. I think for most (if not all) AI models by Fernando Martinez the alpha channel affects transparency. For the models by Nick black it affects the shine. Don't know about the HTAI models.Bone184 wrote:ok, it's been awhile since I updated this post, I'm done but was wondering something? Is there a way I can paint something so it's invisible? Hiding parts using black areas of the alpha channel is quite a neat feature to create different loadouts when there is only one model. You should have a look at the French Mirage 2000 packages.
Re: QF-16's...
OK, I got the 1st 6 done, does anyone know where I can upload them so only people here can get them, the zip file I have is bigger that the 256 KB Limit or I would post them in this thread.

Here's the link: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/26162347/AI_QF-16.zip
I did basic repaints of the 6, with no tail codes as new QF-16 FSAT's they don't have tail codes at the moment, remember these are in the test phase.....as I am new & unexperienced with repainting I didn't age the aircraft. I also didn't include Flight Plans, I'm still trying to learn how to make FP's. So if someone updates the repaints & makes FP's I ask that you share them.

Re: QF-16's...
Made some FP's for them, not really realistic FP's. The do almost every day TNG's at Cecil Field and sometimes one or two go to Eglin, Tyndall or Holloman. So here they are:

If I still had the files I would but I am not currently flying the FS Skies as my rig crashed and I haven't recovered yet! Hope someone can help you....and me in the future!
