CNN is actually reporting that the Mig23 belonged to the rebels, not the Libyan Air Force...didn't even know the rebels had gotten their hands on aircraft

I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Better stills actually show the pilot eject, but doesn't look like a good chute.

Re: Libyan MIG23 shot down?
My fears from the first reporting was that this might have been a rebel plane trying to attack govt tanks. From a week or so ago, a news report stated that the rebels (all untrained and excitable civilians) were shooting at anything in the air, and sometimes at nothing other than sounds coming from above. No discipline creating a very dangerous environment for allied a/c flying the zone and protecting civilians from artillery and armor on the attack. These people have a long way to go to achieve success. They desperately need skilled advisers, and those might best come from Arab countries militarys, but should definitely not come from allied countries. This looks to me to be a developing mess. Rats! Sure would like to see the Col. and his sons get theirs, but doesn't look so good for now.
