I have been using ADE9 for awhile now and have 3 Russian airbases to up load, but when I check them the approach lights dont show up I have had others look at it and the same happens on theres. Any suggestions?

ADE does not display approach lights in the current version. I presume you mean they don't show in ADE.

However you can still edit them in the runway properties menu.

If they don't show in FS then you have another problem... not related to ADE I would say.

Different types of approach light show up in different weather and lighting conditions. They do not all show up during the day for example. Perhaps you can attach your zipped up ADE project file (.ad2) to a post here (or email it to me - jon AT scruffyduck.co.uk) so that we can also check it.

OK I am not seeing them either. However this is a non stock FS9 airport - do you have a flatten under it to set the land beyond the runways to the airport reference altitude?

This is a made from scratch since there wasent one in fs, I have been working with regan123 on Russian bases he has been doing the vtpp files for me since I cant get it to work (keep getting a runtime 76 error) I slid an apron under the runway becuse the runway would hover above the ground tried to adjust the alt but couldnt nail it down (would eather be to high or to low. so I was told to just slid an apron under it qand it worked.

Well I am not going to be much help. I cannot get 'off runway' lighting to show up. However if I tick Touchdown Lights for each end and re-compile these do show up. Adjusting the altitude of the runway relative to the ground, changing the weather conditions and lights type do not make them show. I might be the developer of ADE but I am not that much of a designer. so I can only say that it still looks like something to do with the surroundings. Having said that I checked the altitude of the ground where the approach lights should be an that looks to pretty much match the runway.

I tried a couple of final things. First I modified the approach lights for a stock FS9 airport and my changes showed up. Second I loaded the bgl file back into ADE (a no-no for normal development) and confirmed that the bgl file does contain the approach lights. So I think that is as far as I can go.......

Hey Jon, I got it to work, I went back and added ILS and now everything shows up in any weather. Thanks for the help.
