Something I decided to try

Post by phantomfreak »

I figured I might as well go ahead and try my hand at painting ai. Well more like adding fin flash and logos, something I've never tried before. I'm starting with KC-135's flown that used to belong to the Mississippi ANG. If I decide to upload them is there anyone I should contact first beforehand? I'm using the PAI paintkit.

Thanks,

Jay

For work that you have created yourself then its relatively simple. If you have been using a paintkit generally speaking there should be a readme with it that will tell you any limitations to what you can do, also check the readme for the actual model download as well. If there are none then you have to take it that there are no limitations and that it is OK to upload. In this case the decent thing to do is acknowledge the lineage, i.e. made using paintkit by xxxxx or made using official PAI paintkit.

The one thing that you should remember is not to add the model or fde unless specifically allowed to do this. Most people stay safe and create and add the fltsim entries only.

I hope this helps.

Well for my first attempt at creating my own textures they turned out rather nice. Now if I can only figure out how to do a screenshot.

According to the readme for FSScreen I may one of those 3D Accelerator cards that does not allow the print screen button on the keyboard to work. Either that or I got a bum keyboard.

Try this: http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html Works ok in Win 7, 32bit. Don't know about 64 bit, but you can force run as 32 bit, so should be ok!
