Re: No AI With Windows 7 ?
i'm not sure why he is having probs ? the thing is i cant get to see his pc myself as he lives in the U.S.A. he says he has installed all in the right folders, but without seeing it i dont know ?...............the plot thickens hmmmmm!
Re: No AI With Windows 7 ?
I would get him to check whether his UAC is on or not. Also if it comes to the worst, get him to reinstall to a different directory, i.e. not C:\Program Files. I read somewhere that anything in there gets protected automatically. Whether this is by UAC or above and beyond that I can't remember.
As you say somebody who has it working is better qualified than my guessing.

I am not an expert and I'm guessing you've already tried this -IF the PC is a 64bit critter, FS9 and FSX go into the Program files(86) directory in which any 32 bit program should run . If I remember rightly , all WOA and early MAIW packages have to be nudged over there by installing manually. No problem with newer MAIW packages .

Re: No AI With Windows 7 ?
There is a nice feature that might help you out.
I am running Win 7 at 64 bit and FS2004, though being a 32-bit program, works with no problem and the traffic shows up nicely, even in extremely crowded airports.
You could try to run FS in a compatibility mode: open the game folder, right click on FS9.exe, then click on Properties. There should be something like "Compatibility" on the top menu (second button). Click on it, then tick "Execute program in compatibility mode" and select your favourite (i.e Win XP SP2), then try to run the game.
