Pope AAF current basing?

Post by reconmercs »

Hey guys, does anyone have any accurate information on what flying units are currently based at Pope AAF besides the 440th AW, 43rd AG (active associate) and the Golden Knights Flight Detachment? thanks in advance.

I'll start researching this as well, did see a C-130 last month in Ali Al Salem with the "Pope-Bragg" tailband.

Per wiki, looks like the AFRC 440th AW with the 95th AS, and associate USAF 2nd AS flying 16 C-130H's together. I've seen 2 tail flashes, but the new one looks to be the "BRAGG-POPE" version with the NFL Carolina Panthers head.

You can also go to www.ondutchwings.nl and use their online database to find the Air Force units there and which aircraft.
