Hi everyone, I'm currently working on Eglin AFB-KVPS, located on the Florida panhandle. Its been done plenty of times in FSX, but having been there a few years I felt a need to create my own AFCAD. Mine doesn't contain any special custom library objects, just a few more accurately placed Edwards AFB objects. I'm just gonna flat out admit to using someone else's AFCAD but adding and moving objects to my liking. It was for personal use only at first but I want to give back to the FS community. I looked at all the other KVPS uploads on AVSIM and saw that they either included the civilian airport with some detail but no really emphasis on the USAF side, or vice versa. I'm simply trying to build a balanced hybrid. I'll upload screenshots soon, if I ever get to without FSX CTD-ing on me before I can test the scenery. Oh, about that:
50 percent of the time, when I load up my own beta KVPS in FSX I can slew and taxi just fine until I pan around to a particular spot and then CTD(sim1.dll). I've removed and edited the AFCAD several times, replacing it with the others available online, and now sometimes they CTD too. Its only whenever I pan the camera over in a certain direction too... I'm stumped at this point and may have to start from scratch if I can't figure this out. Release date TBD for obvious reasons. Is it cool if I release it here?
